Installed boinc 5.8.8, connected to cimatepredicion.net and downloaded 2 WUs. http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/show_host_detail.php?hostid=597832 But only one started crunching. I remember, that I\'ve seen someday number of CPUs to use for crunching, bat could not find it this time. I\'ve suspended the 1st WU and the 2nd started crunching, then suspended 2nd - 1st started, while 2nd persists in memory (2 pairs of precesses(EXEs)), but only one uses CPU time. THe 2nd WU in boinc \"waits\". How to make boinc run two WUs same time?
4) Questions and Answers : Windows : Problem getting new work in Vista (Message 26599) Posted 5 Feb 2007 by old_user92466 Post: Vista is too new for anyone to be able to help much with running BOINC and this project on it. Your problem may be due to a permissions problem with one or more folders. One thing that has apparently happened with the new OS is that MS removed OpenGL, which is used a lot for the graphics display, so there will be problems with that. Vista has new security system, named UAC (Uses Access Control). Your side of the problem is that UAC under user account does not allow apllications, run without admin rights, to create new files, delete old, modify existing in directories, named c:\\program files and deeper, c:\\windows and deeper. The only place on your disk C, where you and all the programs can do that is your user directory c:\\users\\your_user_account_name. The way to solve the problem is to install CPDN on disk D (anywhere you want). On Disk D you and all the programs have access to the file system, even using restricted rights. PS: I do so and more than one month do NOT have any problems with vista.

(Message 25778) Posted 30 Dec 2006 by old_user92466 Post: Hi, The first reported error will stick on the website, but is ignored by the scientists, who are only interested in the uploaded data. So you can ignore it. Hmm. I\'ve got one thought about it: When my model crashes - I restroe it from backup. If this computer is online (the most of my computers, which are in office with LAN) - it says to server, thta model crashed and downloads new model. In the morning I come to work and restore model from backup, which I make every morning, when come to work. So, serve r then gives this model to someone else, with last number in name, increased by one. And I can get model with last number in name not equal 0, which can means, that someone crashed model, reported server, and then restored model from backup and cotinued crunching, dispite everything happened. So, what is the \"Idea of crunching the same model by some persons simulatiously\"? Is there any mechanism, which catches this model, when this happens? And one more qustion: as I understood, if there were not trickles for some days (45, AFAIK), the results are ot accepted by the server. How much time has to be elapsed, when crashed model has to be posted to new person? Are those 45 days is that period?

Currently i\'m running 3 models, one model i ran to 10% and then returned by a mistake. That model had lots of red area on sulphur window, just from the beginning of count. Recent model i\'ve got after that one (which have lots of red area) doesn\'t have much red area. So, i wanna know much about models i\'m crunching. Thanks.
