64-bit Boinc is not supported.

Getting pthread attributes - retval=0
Setting pthread size (79691776 bytes) - retval=22

That looks bad, it should be retval=0 on both those lines.
Sorry, don\'t know much more..

Hm, that was weird.
Maybe something went wrong when copying the wu.
I would burn it to a cd, delete the whole of Boinc and start from scratch.
They\'ve got plenty of work units with millions of combinations, the ones they are sending out now seem even colder, look at one of mines here: 5712046

One way to better see whats happening is to start the thing in a terminal window with ./boinc
Then run ./boincmgr in a second terminal
This gives more info than the message tab

No, it just runs.

Does anybody have this running successfully on a 2.4.x kernel?

Yep, it runs fine with Red Hat 8 with a 2.4.x kernel

Edit: the Linux client is built on Red Hat 7.3

It runs fine here with Zenwalk Linux which is based on Slackware, don\'t know the differences though, 2.6.x kernel anyway.

I had SAP running fine with 512 Mb memory and Fedora C2, turned off some services and no desktop. Memory usage topped at around 430 Mb if I remember right.

Yeah, if trickles for hadcm3l now is worth 259.2 points it sums up fine with the extra points today.
I believe it also was 259 in the latest coupled beta.

I had the same problem last week
Dualcore machine here with one Spinup 4.11 and one Seasonal
5.07
It crashed when Spinup finished, couldn\'t build the upload .zip files
After deleting everything related to Spinup in client_state.xml it just chugs along fine
Wonder what happened?

Yep, this happened to me too, mine both 5.08 models on an X2 were instantly killed with signal 11 when pressing the Graphics button. And the process kept running in the background after that.
It was OK with 5.07.
This also happened with a Seasonal WU, hadam3_4.07 client.

Fedora C4 kernel 2.6.16-1.2069_FC4smp GeForce3 nv driver.

I bought me an AMD X2 3800+ (2.0 GHz) dual core and am very pleased with that, runs two TCM models at 2.25 s/TS stock speed and now around 2.00 a bit overclocked.
A good thing is the low energy consumption, much cheaper to run than the older ones.

Glad you got it :)
It prints out on every checkpoint = 6 model days when running with ./boinc.
Trickle-ups is by every model year or 25,920 TS and worth 227 points
Every 10 model years there is a bigger upload of about 5 MB.
Here it\'s a little bit slower on s/TS than the old slab model but much faster than the sulphur.

Guess it could be the same thing as with the sulphur since it\'s compiled with Debian Woody too.
Maybe Stefan Mathes patch will work here too?
