Deadlines are flexible in CPDN, but if you\'re running BOINC 5.* and other projects you could find that it runs CPDN exclusively in an attempt to meet your model\'s deadline.

useing 5.2.5 ,Im not sure but I think It should have already gone into EDF mode maybe it will soon.its due 2/24\\06 and should take about 2 mos of constant crunching to complete.

just an update project still running second trickle sent.
my prob must have been the active virus scan every time a file opens or closes.

most probably, i\'ve heard that some \"lock\" the file with exclusive access (so BOINC won\'t have a chance)

although i must admit i\'ve never had a problem with this myself
just for the record, what brand, version/flavour of virus scanner are u using, incase others have this problem

Lee

E-Trust AV Ver 7.0.6.7

I believe I have fixed the problem I excluded the Boinc folder from active virus protection and all seems well. I also stoped BoincView although Im not sure how that would interfere. does anyone else run BoincView 1.02 with climate?

I dont get a boinc error windows tells me x program has encountered a problem and must shutdown. boinc acts like the program is running but no clock ticks ,task manager shows program ether not in memmory or just not useing any resorces. when I shut down boinc and then restart it runs for a short period 1 to 5 min and then windows pops up with x program has encountered a problem.
BTW seti and Einstein run with no prob

sence the new model is doing the same thing and sence no one seems to have any input on the subject, I will detach and find another endever.
I may return in six months and try then to see if the software works.
it is just too bad because I believe that this is one of the more worthy projects out there.

while prempted the clock keeps running which changes the time to complete untill it thinks that it cannot be done in time and halts all work fetches because the host is over comitted.
tried running it both ways, leave in memory and remove, results were the same.
are others haveing this problem.
useing BOINC 4.5 and just downloaded the client on 7/1 so it must be the newest ver.
anyone know how to fix this?
have detached untill I learn more as this interfears with SAH
