BOINC/CPDN on FreeBSD/Linux emulation, undefined symbol?

Post: I tried to do this a while back, and posted a message here, and the reply was something along the lines of the dataset or structure of it is OS-specific, and there wasn\'t one in the pipeline for freebsd. It\'s a pity because some of us admin some very powerful servers that are up 24/7, and a lot of these are likely to be running some BSD variant. Given that FreeBSD is still a \'minority\' OS, I can see why there\'s neither the time nor the impetus to make a BSD version. The error you will be getting is something like \"Message from server: platform \'i386-portbld-freebsd6.0\' not found\" |

been using freebsd since \'97. It\'s linux i can\'t understand! :) I\'ve been trying the boinc CPDN compiled for linux but after passing the initial tests it just sits there waiting to download work. next step is to run it off knoppix (urgh!) |
