First phase of migration of BBC/CCE to cpdn and standard version of boinc

Posted 22 Jan 2007 by Neil Munday Post: Hi, Sanger I wasn\'t consulted about the stats merger - someone posted on my forums about it. At the end of the day, myself and other stats sites are at the mercy of the BOINC developers. If they make a change, then we have to adapt our code to workaround/incorporate the modifications. I personally like the fact that BOINC provides the ability for third parties like myself to provide services to the BOINC community. It would however, be handy if we could be informed of changes before they take place to aid a smooth transition. Just my 5 cents ;-) Edit: I have since been informed there is a BOINC stats e-mail list, so I have subscribed to this to hopefully learn about future XML file modifications sooner! Neil. |

Posted 2 Dec 2004 by Neil Munday Post: Hi all, I have been beta testing my new "All-In-One" account with a few volunteers for the last week or so at <a href="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/">http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one</a>. The all-in-one account allows you to manage all of your BOINC graphics in one place and also gives you the opportunity to have a graphic showing all your stats from the various projects to which you belong. You no longer need multiple usernames and passwords for my sites - just one! I have now opened up the site to the public. The site has an RSS feed to keep users up-to-date with developments, as does do my other BOINC mini-sites. Further features have yet to be added to the site. Please feel free to e-mail me any comments/suggestions for the new service. I am currently testing my new XML code with the site before moving over the other projects that I support. Now that the XML stats are used, I have added rank info to the stats. Once all the projects have been moved over, I hope to provide an all in one stats sig. Please let me know if you find any bugs (admin@boinc.mundayweb.com). Neil Munday. |
