&gt; HA, I have to say this is a first for us, it took a year for a flamewar on the
&gt; old site and here the day of launch we already have one starting up! :-)

@Carl
Naw. this was an attempt to lighten things up a bit. I'll leave this thread long before it becomes a flame war.

@everyone else
BTW: Boinc-IRC is truely a cross-project international team. But remember... we don't want any new members ;)

Oh my goodness!

A team recruitment thread! I'm shocked!

If you're loose and don't belong to any team, please don't join <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/team_display.php?teamid=23">Boinc-IRC</a>. We don't want or need any more members and we're a bunch of mouthy unfriendly people. &lt;wink&gt;

6) Message boards : Number crunching : Total group MY not consistent?? (Message 1767)

Post:
&gt; I have noticed that when viewing 'Top Teams' both the 'recent credit' and
&gt; 'total credit' don't match with the same stats when you click on a group and
&gt; view their team info - the stats are different (and it seems more recent). Is
&gt; there a time lag with these being updated on the top teams page.
&gt; <p>
&gt; <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/cpdn/stats.php?userID=19"><p>
&gt;

Yes there is. RAC and CS on the user page is immediate. RAC and CS on team pages is updated on a predertermined (by project) schedule.

7) Message boards : Number crunching : Climate Prediction & BOINC Cross project stats. (Message 1062)

Post:
&gt; One question for someone actually running BOINC4 and CPDN: what's the URL of
&gt; the scheduler?
&gt;
&gt; I need it to check the online/offline status of the scheduler. URL will not be
&gt; posted on BOINCstats!
&gt; ====================
&gt; <a href="http://www.boincstats.com/hide_climate_url">BOINC user, team and
&gt; country stats</a>
&gt;
&gt;

Any time you want to find the URL for a project's scheduler, you can find it by looking at the source html of their project page. Look for the following XML (btw, this is documented in the boinc server docs):

[scheduler]http://address.of.server/whatever[/scheduler]

Of course, you need to substitute the &gt; for ] and &lt; for [

&gt; Hm... the CPID system wasn't really designed to do this...I'll think about it
&gt; and see if I can expand it in this area.
&gt;
&gt; Suggestions are of course always welcome.
&gt;

A method to hand off the team to another founder would be nice. Then, if a member joins a new closed beta project, he could create the team and hand it over to the cross-project team leader when the true leader is able to join.

One could also have a method to manually assign the CPID. In the same situation as above, if the member had the CPID (given to him by the leader) he could create the team and enter the CPID during the creation.
