It appears likely that you are running BOINC 4.45, which is unsuitable for climateprediction because of the benchmarking problem in particular. Close down BOINC, make a backup of the folder for safety, and upgrade to the latest version. If you still have problems after that post again.

On my box benchmark probleam appeared about two weeks ago (when SP2 for XP was installed). It\'s good news if it was really corrected in the new CC. I plan to install it next week (after the Sulphur model is finished).

Looking at the results I\'ve been returning to the server, I noticed that the seconds per time slice (sec/TS) keep increasing. Is this normal? If so, does the RAC algorithm take the increased processing time into account?

In my case, at the start of the phase a trickle took from 4.4392 to 4.0798. Ever since then, the time varies between 4.0675 and 4.1156 (mostly around 4.080). So I would say in my case sec/TS is not increasing

Don't panic. That's what I did; on my case after a couple of hours the prediction was 1700 hours. Now, after a week and 9.32% done the predicted requested time is 1333 hours (of 1470).

I've just a minor problem with BOINC 4.45. After started for some reason it detects that it would take 2300 hours to finish the CPDN WU and reports the system is overcomited and start to crunch other projects by earliest deadline. In that case I've to suspend all other WU's wait until corrects the remaining time and continue to crunch for other projects.

Today I've received a WU with the sulphur cycle. The deadline is 24/01/2006. According to the BOINC the WU will need 1662 hours to be finished; that's about 69 days (if I would use my PC 24/7 to crunch CPDN).My PC's on-fraction is 82% (But I also crunch other projects, so CPDN receives a bit less) with this number it gives 83 days to finish a WU. I believe this is very thight since maybe there could come a period when I'll unable to crunch, also other projects also needs CPU time.

I hope that in the future the deadline will be increased back to one year. Just to give us a choice to donate CPU time for other projects too.

Most of the time not, but the last time:
