I know that in my set (by which I mean my friends, coworkers, other students, et al), getting a cool screensaver was about 60% of the motivation to install in the first place. The current BOINC default screen is very bland, and not everyone is as motivated by pure science as the folks on this board ;) Do you know if the BOINC API is open? If so, I bet you anything that there would be some eager 3rd party developers (mostly for Quartz) who would hand you some excellent screensavers that would generate based on the data coming from the servers. Just a thought.

I'm having trouble getting the climateprediction graphics to show, but seem to be crunching fine. This is my first CPDN task; i suspended everyone else and let it run overnight hoping the graphics would load, but no luck. Am I doing something wrong or are graphics no longer an option?
