"All that you need to do, is manually delete folders for models that are still on the computer, but not in the Tasks tab."

I have no models running at the moment, but 2.1GB of data exists for climateprediction.net

To clear space as per your instructions, I've deleted an old directory in c:\ProgramData\Boinc\projects\climateprediction.net named hadcm3n_8bct_1980_40_008724136.

I'm also seeing a lot of .zip, .exe, .dll, .xml, .gz, and .jpg files in c:\ProgramData\Boinc\projects\climateprediction.net.

Can I delete all of these files as well without messing up future models?

Thanks.

Wish there some way to refuse tasks from researchers that don't care about getting their models to meet minimum standards of computability.

Erik,

If you experience a set of models that aren't running correctly, report it and then just untick the offending application in your preferences and be done with it. When the problem is reported as fixed go back in and re-tick it.

If you've ever done any programming, you will know that even the best programmers in the world make mistakes. Given the complexity of the code for the CPDN models, I'm amazed that they run as well as they do.
24) Message boards : Number crunching : Credit updates? (Message 49538)

On my "Your Account" page, it shows:

"Computing and credit > Total credit: 96,448"

...while in this section on the same page:

"Projects in which you are participating > Climateprediction.net > Total credit column: 57,231; Average credit column: 0" Those are old numbers.

These numbers have disagreed since the credit update script was run. Also, the numbers haven't been updated on the cross-project statistics pages - no new credits for me show up.

Just wanted to bring this to your attention.

25) Message boards : Number crunching : Paltry daily credits (Message 47241)

Les, thanks for the information.

Richard, I was referring to the daily credits from both POGS and SETI@Home COMBINED. I realize that POGS awards much more than SETI.

I have an 8-core AMD processor and at least two of the cores are crunching hadcm3n jobs 24x7, and all I'm getting from the daily trickle-ups is between 600 to 900 credits a day, as compared with thousands of credits from POGS and SETI@Home, combined, running on the other cores.

If there a reason for this, or is something amiss?

Thanks.
