These new releases are for 64-bit operating systems only. 32-bit Windows operating systems will continue to use BOINC Version 7.14.2. (All new releases of the BOINC Client will be for 64-bit operating Systems). These new releases are available on the normal BOINC Download Site: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php

Then it's safe to say that Mac's running the most current supported version of MacOS (Catalina) can no longer process CPDN files. Assume there is no plan to enable 64-bit CPDN apps.

The latest build for testing can be downloaded here: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.14.3_x86_64-apple-darwin.zip Note that BOINC 7.14.3 is only being released for Macintosh. It is basically the same as 7.14.2, but with the following fixes for compatibility with OS X 10.15 Catalina: * Additional security review by Apple required by OS 10.15 for installation * Installer * Screensaver BOINC 7.14.3 is expected to work correctly on MacOS 10.7 through MacOS 10.15.3.

As a result the test release has been withdrawn. Expect to see BOINC 7.16.5 released for Windows 64 bit testing soon!

I'm assuming that release 7.16.x is ultimately intended to only work on 64 bit Operating Systems, and that 7.16.3 as a 32-bit test version will eventually be removed -- as it was made available for testing before the decision to make 7.16.x a 64-bit product only. But I will check it out with the BOINC testing group !!

This new newest version of the BOINC client (7.16.4) is released FOR TESTING ONLY for 64-bit Windows. Users who are continuing to use 32-bit Operating Systems will need to continue to use the current 7.14.2 BOINC release after 7.16.x is released for recommended use.
