2) Questions and Answers : Windows : Scheduling new task after HDD replaced (Message 48089) Posted 4 Feb 2014 by lexsmith Post: After my laptop's hard disk died last week, I replaced it, downloaded BOINC and reconnected to my climateprediction account. I'm now unable to access either the task which was running prior to the HDD failure, or any new ones. Boinc Manager Status is constantly "Commmunication Deferred". In my website account section, there is are two tasks identified as "In Progress", but they're not running on my machine. Any advice on how to access either the existing task, or cancel it and schedule a new one? Many thanks
