Post: What are the messages that you got around the time it stopped? These may give us a clue. I am working with someone to determine all this..I have sent several files and their evaluation is that the project thinks its done but hasn\'t sent all the trickles in..as for hard drive full...nope not a problem plus another CPDN WU is working right now....I thought it was a confiflict because old was using hadsm.12 and new one is using hadsm.13 have restarted it to see if it will work out of the kinks...it now says 854 hrs complete 0.00 percent and 564 hrs to go..will let it perculate all weekend and see Monday..Thanks for your posts |

Post: I have had a WU stay at 99.98 pct done 3:18 minutes to complete for 5 days. I suspended the work to allow the computers to do another WU. I have updarted to CPDN and nothing...anyway I can make this complete or what do I do..hate to lose it..I have restarted machine, restarted BOINC...Last computer I had this on just had to update and it transmitted it back to CPDN as completed,,This one it did not...... |

Error 113

Post: Well I feel a little stupid....after doing software I thought I would check hardware...traced cables and all...apparrently cable was plugged in enough to get internet however must have been unplugged enough to intefer with data transfer..by moving the cable to another plug I got full connection....it may be the plug too but now its working thanks for the help....When it doubt replug lol |

Error 113

Post: I have one computer out of 15 that can not communicate with CPDN....it keeps returning error 113..it finds the site however it says no file of that type or something to that effect and deffers communication with error 113....This WU is 89 percent so I don't want to lose it and computer is crunching just can't communicate with CPDN Boinc...all others seem to be able to do it successfully and they were all set up the same..have same hardware and software configurations....can anyone help me |

Post: Okay now IBM is teaming up with Seti for a system similar to BOINC available on grid.org... are these compatiable..does one over rule the other ...anyone trying to run both and whats its impact on your computer..just wanting to know |

Post: I think I have identified a problem...Students changing setting and adding network drives on a computer have caused me to lose two days of Seti and Prediction data..When you look at the Boinc folder its all there however the old data was gone.new data was downloaded but it also crashed today...I uninstaled the program and in my upload of the new one had found out that the student had creted a Z network file which all the boinc data was trying to use..There is no Z drive so it was failing all the time...I apologize to the researchers because of the lost data..I hopefully have that computer back up and running and I\'ll watch closer when I am here..This took place when I was out sick....So sometimes prolmes are not computer, they are caused by man........ |

Multiple computers with one account

Post: I tried to upload climate on my 4th computer however I kept getting "invlaid or missing account ID" message. I know it I had it typed in right as I and one other verified it...is there a limit to the number of machines or is it another issue? Have 15 or so to put on.....Sort of a community service project for the school and YES I have approval to do this.....OKAY IT WAS THE TWO COMPUTERS FOULED UP NOT BOINC/CLIMATE PREDICTION...ONE FIXED THE OTHER WILL NOT RUN BOINC BUT WORKING ON IT..THANKS FOR THE HELP |
