What Happened ???
(Message 58136)
Posted 22 Apr 2018 by Kevin Post: I have now suspended my SAM50 which is the WU with trickle upload problems. The trickles that were stuck seem to have unstuck themselves, I have checked the event log and they have uploaded and the task has reported. Trickles are now even showing on the tasks pages and so is the finished task. And thats all happened on a Sunday!!! I shall now resume crunching the suspended WU's. |

Posted 29 May 2017 by Kevin Post: I don't know about those that finished during the outage. I am assuming the zips have all uploaded so the work will be safe. I don't know about credit. #abovemypaygrade finally gave up waiting, detached and re-attached, all of those that lost zips - became unfinished have been reallocated to other users:-( |

Not worried about credit, it should turn up eventually, it was just a gentle hint that something may need a quick look at:-) Apart from that 3 of them are batch 561 which some were having problems with. |

Posted 25 Jan 2017 by Kevin Post: abort the other WU That would be https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=20118325 which has not been started. If I run the above WU it will cost about a week with no guarantee that It will be completed properly. The almost completed WU I will allow to finish later tonight, The reason I have suspended it was so that if you wanted copies of any of the files that are deleted after completion then they are available now and can be copied and e-mailed to wherever required. |

Posted 25 Jan 2017 by Kevin Post: Got another one:-( I have not looked at the files in the CPND folder, I do not know what is worth looking at anyway. But looking at boinc manager 'statistics' there was no communication between my machine and CPND since the 23rd, the date of the last trickle, I have another WU suspended not yet started so this machine would not be asking for work. It looks as if for some reason the WU is either not generating the trickles or boinc is not sending them and not showing them as unsent. I am going to leave everything as is until early evening, then I shall allow that WU to complete, abort the other WU and detach and re-attach to try to clear this problem. Les, this could be the reason that nothing is showing up on the server logs. |

I was refuring to the selection filter lines above and below the results table. State: All (637) · In progress (4) · Validation pending (413) · Validation inconclusive (0) · Valid (0) · Invalid (81) · Error (139) It seems that both the validation pending filter and the invalid filter produce lists of completed work units, valid produces zero results. If the pending and invalid results could be combined and renamed completed or valid it would look better. It might also be handy for some if the "error" results could be split into 2 separate lists, those that failed before the first trickle and those that failed later in processing. Sorry, the written word is not my best means of communication. |

Error while computing

Posted 26 Jul 2016 by Kevin Post: I've had a couple of pop-ups about Windows having a problem. I am running Windows Vista, the pop up was from windows,I could still access boinc but the file in question was still being shown as status as running but it was also showing progress at 100% and time to finish as ---. All zips were uploaded and the 4 files plus the afr that I processed after re-loading CPND have all finished as client error, all have now been granted the same credit as completed work units. It looks as if the program failed to shut down the work unit or tell it to upload before it shut itself down. I have since done a couple of wah2 sucessfully. |
