1) Questions and Answers : Windows : communication deferred -- no running tasks (Message 45493) Posted 25 Jan 2013 by jmland Post: I just got a new PC running Windows 7. I reinstalled BOINC Manager 7.0.28(x64) (wxWidgets v2.8.10) and added the climateprediction.net project (the only one I have running). The screen saver has been showing nothing but "No running tasks" since I installed it, and in the Projects tab in BOINC manager it shows work done 257761.50, average work 0.81, resource share 100%, and status "Communication deferred". I just watched it count down to 00:00:00, then it said "scheduler request in progress", and then started counting down again from 01:00:15. The Notices, Task, and Transfer tabs show no info. Here's the entire Event Log since my last reboot (this morning). One thing strange I noticed is that there's a line saying "running under account jland", but if I click on Properties for climateprediction.net in the Projects tab, my username is listed as jmland.
