Ok. Thanks a lot.

Certainly worth updating and also looking at the graphics for the models can confirm the loop by the fact that the timestep number goes back and repeats.

Could you elaborate on this a bit. I know how to update the software, but haven't really got a clue as to what you are referring to with the "graphics for the models".

Yes, that's one of them. My computer is doing four CPN tasks at the same time, and they all seem to be doing the same thing.

Thanks for the info. I'll try updating the software and if it doesn't help, I will abort the tasks.

By the way, CPN is using over 25 GB of disk space. Is that normal? Seems like a lot to me, but if there are four tasks running, maybe it's supposed to use that much.

And one more thing... I tried running some World Community Grid projects, and they seem to be working properly.

Thanks again for the help!

Juuso

P.S. I've been doing Boinc for ages, and for some reason had to start another account at some point. Can't remember why, but as long as my current account works, I am happy with it.

I am running Boinc 7.2.39 on OSX 10.6.8, and having problems with the progress of the tasks.

If I look at the climateprediction.net tasks on Boinc, they all seem to be making progress: status reads "running" and both elapsed and remaining time are ticking away. The problem is that when I check the elapsed time the next day, it hasn't made any progress. It might have gathered half an hour of elapsed time during a 24h period. So clearly that's not good.

I set up Boinc preferences to run all the time, so Boinc should be running 24/7. Once I actually happened to notice how the elapsed time jumped backwards. I suppose this is what is happening every now and then, which keeps the elapsed time from accumulating.

I am not currently running any other projects, so I can't say whether this is limited to climateprediction.net or not.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Juuso
