But here (currently) the folder seems simply not to exist - let alone the files which would normally live in it. Only the project staff can explain that.
This shows it's been unavailable for just over a month:
https://www.boincstats.com/stats/2/project/detail/

Last update user XML	2023-05-01 19:00:17 UTC (33 days 18:34:07 old)
Last update host XML	2023-04-30 18:50:17 UTC (34 days 18:44:07 old)
Last update team XML	2023-05-01 19:00:17 UTC (33 days 18:34:07 old)
For some reason the host XML disappeared first?

Unless CPDN is exporting to a different location the time stamps above show that CPDN is not exporting Credit Stat's Daily or even Weekly. Most Projects Export Daily and the information contained is updated on a time line set up by those who write the Scripts.

Post:
Since the urls end in '.php', that's a program which queries the project's internal database, and displays the numbers 'live on the fly'. Again, it's a generic part of the BOINC server toolkit: all projects can use it if they wish, but not every site will make a live link available on their website. CPDN rather seems to have only a partial server installation on their new hardware, so far.

Edit: the Wayback machine has several snapshots of the old server stats, but you have to go back to 18 August 2021 to see a fully-active sample.

Maybe items for the Wish List ?

Actually I Was not asking about the Credit Stat's

Another Stat that used to be available was how many systems with Which version of BOINC are active on the Climate Prediction Project.

First URL was https://www.cpdn.org/host_stats.php

2nd URL was https://www.cpdn.org/host_stats.php?boinc_version=1

Keep up the good work !!!

Thanks

What you get here are 3 files with this content:
bad URL

It looks like that reply is generated on the fly by a script.
If so, you may need to copy the real stats files to the correct server location and disable the script.
Up to a point. The files expected by the external sites are generated from the internal database by a standard BOINC server tool - db_dump, now documented at https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/wiki/DbDump (all the documentation has moved recently). I'd suggest that either the program hasn't been configured to run on the new server yet, or the final locations haven't been created yet.

But it would still be wise to get to the bottom of the mysterious doubling of the existing stats before exposing them to the world.

Richard can your take a 2nd try with the URL .... ?

Thanks

Your update email was wonderful and the information helpful to those who follow the forums and try to stay in touch.

On your question of badges ... Yes a great many crunchers do appreciate them as a visible reflection of their activities on various projects. I will go as far as to recommend that the format used by the Milkyway project be emulated. One badge for Years on the Project and one for Credit milestones. using clean and simple images.

It's amazing how much math my generation can do in our heads compared to kids today that need a calculator to do the most rudimentry arithmetic.

At my engineering school, order-of-magnitude calculations were emphasized, to catch the mistakes that people did with more precise methods.
Also, it gave you a greater physical feel for the subject matter. I think many political mistakes are made by people who have not the slightest idea of the magnitude of what they are talking about.

Pretty profound, but it rings with truth.

Last update host XML 2021-09-23 12:40:28 UTC (5 days 09:04:14 old)
Last update team XML 2021-09-23 12:40:28 UTC (5 days 09:04:14 old)

Can you please bump those above with an email again.

Thanks
Bill F

And now... the Export Time Stamps are 9 days old instead of 5 days old...

Last update user XML 2021-09-23 12:40:28 UTC (9 days 03:19:19 old)
Last update host XML 2021-09-23 12:40:28 UTC (9 days 03:19:19 old)
Last update team XML 2021-09-23 12:40:28 UTC (9 days 03:19:19 old)

Please bump an email up the ladder ... the time stamps on these files should increment daily even if the Credit script runs every 7 days.

Thanks

Bill F, send me the right links! Thanks! For my purposes (Pay-out of some GRC), there is no problem if it is not up-dated every day. It is even better, it is only every week;-) I do it by hand on spreadsheets...

Sorry those were the only links that I have on file as a user.

Ta. Why no automatic redirect? On second thoughts, we'd better not ask the Engineering Department IT support team that.

Anyway, with the 's' in place, you can see when the stats export was last created:

db_dump.xml	2021-09-23 14:40
The new one should have arrived eight minutes ago. Any bets?

You lose the bet. While they should auto update daily and reflect changes whenever credit is actually run and posted this daily script either gets hung or does not auto generate after system work so until someone intervenes nothing happens.

I paid out some GRC to climateprediction.net users the last couple of weeks. I was always wondering, how to obtain this user stats XML files directly from climateprediction.net (Last update user XML 2021-09-23 12:40:28 UTC (5 days 09:04:14 old)).
I would highly appreciate, if anyone might help/guide me to obtain the files. Please PM me.
So, I will not have to copy past it from boincstats.com and might semi-automate pay-outs.
Thanks a lot!

Major shock! 2 credit updates within a week!

The last updates time stamps on BOINCStats are ...
Last update user XML 2021-08-13 13:50:30 UTC (10 days 16:56:52 old)
Last update host XML 2021-08-13 13:50:30 UTC (10 days 16:56:52 old)
Last update team XML 2021-08-13 13:50:30 UTC (10 days 16:56:52 old)

So the credit numbers may not be making it to Export ?

Thank you. I thought it was the fault of both the machines. One Turbo-Boosts the clock speeds all by itself. Gaming laptop, I switched off these tendencies of it. I cannot switch off its Hyper-Threading because Acer has locked the BIOS. The other one switched off its HT, but it also started giving errors. I hope I complete one at least out of seventeen. So far, nine have gone to the graveyard.

Windows and Linux have different requirements for running CPDN and different recommendations for a "better" chance of success on WU's .... These are generalizations not subject to issues of the different Tasks being distributed at any given time.

The message boards have several treads to look at here are just a couple
