Thing is, straight away I noticed a worrying discrepancy in the early stages of the model which I fear may have chaotic consequences for the future of this particular model. It was seasonably warm in N. Africa on Feb 29th 1811. Obviously my concern is that 1811 wasn't a leap year. what effect would throwing in an extra 24 hrs [48 time steps] have on the accuracy of this model I wonder.
