If I can help isolate that problem by running the 4.6x clients then both projects will be better off, IMHO. I appreciate your input, however. :) Thank you, Jim > I notice that in at least one case you are using the 4.62 client. This is a > test version, and may not be stable. It will just take a lot of practice before it becomes a habit. :) Jim > > When you shut down your laptop, make sure you right click on the BOINC icon in > the taskbar and click suspend. Do I have more errors than the average person?

Posted 6 Feb 2005 by Jim Baize Post: Hello. I've been crunching Climate WU for a while now, but i've never posted on this forum. Today, i took a look at my results page and came up with the following results. I have 3 computers that actively crunch for CP. Out of these 3, two are contiuously connected to the net via cable modem. The third is a laptop that I carry with me when I am out of town (quite often) therefore, it is not always on the net, but it is a significant portion of the time. However, the laptop does get turned on and off (therefore rebooted) more often than the other 2 computers. To make a short story long, out of all the results I have returned, I seem to have a large number that were returned due to client error. In Progress: 4 (one of which was lost for some reason therefore will never be returned) Over / Client Error: 5 Over / Unknown: 1 Complete successful: 1 ====================== Total: 11 out of 11 WU only one was returned successfully. Is this normal or am I doing something to mess up my results? Thank you for your help. Jim |
