1) Questions and Answers : Preferences : Delete old computers from account data (Message 60893)

Post:
I have several old computers still on my account page which I would like to remove, most of which don't even exist any more, but I can't delete them because there is no 'Delete Computer' button on their pages.

This is all getting a bit ridiculous!

Why don't the project developers simply compile and release 64-bit applications for this project that natively run on 64-bit Linux distributions instead of relying on users having to perform circus tricks to try and install 32-bit libraries?

just before the models finished, they were still showing 8-9% completed. They actually took about 9 days to complete.
I understand now that you've explained it. In that case I may have been too hasty in aborting the work units. Sorry about that!

I started 2 MOSES II work units, but after 7.5 hours they had only reached 0.213% complete.
I worked out that at that rate they would take nearly 150 days to finish!
After reading in this thread that you must run them continuously without ever rebooting your computer or they would fail, I made the decision to abort them.

There have been completions on that machine. What do you think the problem is for these two models?

There were no problems with the work units, the data loss was caused by my USB drive becoming corrupted, and all my BOINC data for that machine was lost and gone.
For that particular machine I have no choice but to run from a USB flash drive.

Can an Administrator with access to the project server manually abort workunits 7648624 and 7719794 for me, as all my data has been lost again.
There is no reason for these work units to wait until their deadline before they get resent.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to backup my data, as I had only just started one of the work units.
7) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : Download problem (Message 39747)

Thank you for your help, but as it happened, sometime later the stuck file finished downloading on its own, so I didn\'t need to download it manually after all.
Hopefully others may find your link useful.
8) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : Download problem (Message 39666)

My BOINC has downloaded all the files needed to run an HADAM3P workunit except for one file which stubbornly refuses to download.

Is there a \"secret\" folder from which I can download this file manually?

The file required is hadam3p_graphics_6.14_i686-pc-linux-gnu

I am sad to report that my work unit has gone.
There was nothing wrong with it, and it had reached
44% in 210 hrs crunching.
While I was transfering the Boinc folder from one
computer to another, my USB flash drive died, and all
the data was lost, and no, I didn\'t have a backup of
it!
Let that be a lesson to me.
