1) Message boards : Number crunching : BOINC project unification with cross-project id (Message 9355)

Thanks Andrew. I did not see if Friederich had any success though. Would you know how long it would take for synch to take place? Resourcewise CPCN is on 100, SETI on 10, EINSTEIN on 15.

THANKS.
2) Questions and Answers : Getting started : Merging 2 Cross Project IDs? (Message 9354)

> > That is correct without a path from server A to client to server B they
> will
> > never sync. My advice for your situation is to set Seti to a low
> resource
> > share and attach it to one of the CPDN computers. That will allow the
> CPID to
> > sync up without taking too much away from your CPDN crunching.
>
> Thanks!
> I tried that and now wait to see what happens...

Friederich: Did you het this solved? I have exactly the same issue. How long would it take for synch to take place? Resourcewise CPCN is on 100, SETI on 10, EINSTEIN on 15.

THANKS.

I'm participating in 3 projects, but all of them have a different Cross-project ID. My account information is the same for all projects (although it was not initially).

How can I unify my projects? Should not all of them have the same cross-project id?

Thanks a lot for your advice and comments.

Hi Les: No. 2 and 3 don't seem to work for me. Don't know why, I'm BOINC@España for SETI and CPDN, but none of these pages seem to recoqnise me. No. 1 does the job nicely. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

hola! i'm seeing that one big thing failing on the boinc platform is a nice gui. i'm not too interested in that (although something in java -platform independent would be cool). i'm looking for some basic metrics for the projects i'm crunching for. it looks like all projects have some wap based file with metrics, but i'm looking for something consolidated for all my projects and in html so that it would be easy to include on web pages.

anyone that can help me with this? THANKS

i'd go for knoppix! i've been running knoppix for close to 2 years now. started with it being a complete newbie. i think it's the best distro to start with. you should have no probs, and it comes with lots of software.

recently started with ubuntu. sofar... not sure. it comes with too little installed, and i think that in the end i don't like gnome too much (altough it was the main reason to give ubuntu a try).

gridserver
