From some or another reason i attached 2 times to the cpdn project (so messing with the xml files :p). But now he\'s doing 2 runs in a shift. While one is running the other is \'preempted\'. Nice option :p

> > My bad, I thought it was going public on or about 26 Aug 04.
>
> that is the day of the public launch, so that is fine to publicize then.
> until then, I have to get about 3 more BOINC scheduling servers on line!
>
>
>
How many servers are there in total and how many where ther with the legacy client?

Had the same thing i think they disabled the old URL as off today.

Did you register with http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc?

If yes then you'll have to detach and re-attach with http://climateprediction.net i think. I did that but the stupid thing is that he'll download a new model :(

I think you better wait for a response from carl before you toss you current model

I think he doesn't have enough disk space assigned.

Does it say:

(There was work but you have not enough diskspace assigned) ?

Note to carl:
This must be fixed before public release, you'll have to change the standard prefernces i had the same problem when i attached in the beginning ;)

Posted 10 Aug 2004 by Pconfig
Post:
> have you gone through your prefs on the website, and then update? It seems
> like they don't really "count" until you actually edit/save, and then do an
> update, otherwise it's using BOINC client defaults which are too low to run
> CPDN.
>
>
Can't you change these defaults?

Post:
Hi,

i think some people want smaller work units and with the credit system it\'s not a problem with the stats!

I know lots of users want to complete full models too so why don\'t make a check box in the preferences. I think it will attract MANY people!

It\'s not for the near future but it\'s just a suggestion when you guys run out of work ;)

> > compression!
> > Carl please make it OR xml OR gz, not both :p
>
> well the .xml are the "header" files of the project that db_dump from BOINC
> generates by default, the real data (i.e. potentially big files) are gzip
> compressed (it was just an option in the db_dump program)
>
>

Lol but if i open it with inet explorer i can't see any data!
Edit:

i see what you mean but you now have users.xml.gz that's not nice :p
