Will we loose our credit when we launch like SETI@Home did? Or do we get to keep it?

I decided to switch to 2000 since XP had been givng me a hell of problems, and the weird thing is the s/TS of my processor has dropped by 0.60, and the time to complete a WU is always below 1000 now. Just changing to 2000 does this?

Any body else who has been on XP and switched to 2000 had this?

I've been getting heavy fragmentation because of BOINC aswell. Even within 10 minute my drive will have 10% fragmentation from it (3gb HDD).

Title basically says it all. I re-installed Windows XP, and installed BOINC again but for some reason it keeps saying \"work is available but you don\'t have enough space allocated\" my preferences say use no more than 100gb, and I have 2.75gb left on my drive. Any idea why it\'s doing this when it doesn\'t on my other system?

My notebook which has a mobile AMD AthlonXP 1900+ is getting red hot and the fan never turns off, so I was thinking of turning it\'s speed down to 500mhz. The problem is, will I get the same ammount of credit for it\'s work, less ammount or more?

How confusing, I have double the memory, Windows XP, and a Duron 1800MHZ and your s/TS is lower?

Do you use the computer? or is it a dedicated system?

How much memory and OS has that PC got? Your s/TS seems to be lower than mine, although mine is 400mhz faster.

My main desktop PC (AMD Duron) isn't doing very well, it's got 5.11s/TS, does any one else have an AMD Duron they can show me the performance of? I don't think mine is running at it's best. My notebook is running at 7s/TS aswell, but that's a mobile AMD AthlonXP 1900+.

Are those the right speed or is it going slower than usual? My notebook is totally dedicated to BOINC, I even set it to "normal" priority (not sure if it changed back to low like is usually does).

Just waking up *yawns* I check my account, and I saw I had 200 credit from no-where, and so did every one else.

Is credit given depending on how MUCH of the WU\'s is completed? Because that\'s the only way I can see of getting that credit at the moment.

I just need to get this off my shoulders, thanks ;)

I would like to see a team user list in BOINC, so if you are in a team you can view the users + there credit etc straight from BOINC without having to go threw the website. When BOINC updates or when you manually update it, it will update the users list. This can be easier to see who is new, who has credit etc.

Just a thought ;)

When I try to view a team, I see no users. Just an empty list. Is any one else getting this problem?

I think the setting "write to hard disk" is the check point, I'm not totally sure. Got my set to default, which is 60 seconds any way.
