I don\'t think I\'ll run a stress test but I\'ll look for some program that can see the temperature of the CPU. The computer is about 8 years old and I think I opened the chassi once to clean it inside. Time to do it again :) Cheers, |

Computer hangs

Posted 28 May 2008 by old_user484045 Post: Hi, I\'ve been running Boinc with Climateprediction since November and it has run OK. I understand that Climateprediction is very heavy on computers. I usually leave the computer on 24/7 but since the last month or so the computer suddenly hangs and I have to shut it down manually. Then wait a minute or so, turn it back on. Sometimes it starts again immediately, sometimes I have to wait several hours for it to start. I\'ve come to the conclusion that it must be Climateprediction causing this since it doesn\'t happen when I have the task suspended. Does anyone else have this kind of problem? What can I do to solve it? Cheers, |
