Visual Fortran run-time error
(Message 2789)
Posted 3 Sep 2004 by old_user4736 Post: I also have the FORTRAN run-time error of the "syntax error in NAMELIST input" variety. I have an HP Pavillion notebook running XP SP2. The project was originally working and calculated up to 2% before crashing in a different fashion possibly related to me trying to run a game while calculation. In any case, I doubt this incident was relevant to what then occured. After the crash and restart, BOINC downloaded a new workunit and then started giving me the run-time error described by others. I suspect the problem may have to do with recent changes in progam code or workunits. As far as I can tell, the solutions suggested are disabling the firewall and uninstalling junk software from HP. I have tried both giving boinc_gui.exe an exception in the firewall control panel and uninstalling some HP photo and imaging package I never used. Neither of these changes made the slightest bit of difference. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you, Alex Gerdemann |
