I solved this problem myself (with the help of the SETI message board) simply running the boinc_cli.exe with the option "-install" will install its self as a windows servies. now boinc can sit in the background predicting whats going to happen tomorrow :o

Is there an easy way to have boinc cli run as a windows servies hidden away from view. CPDNSpy gives me the vitals on my work units so having boinc hidden in the back ground would be a plus

I have been a long term supporter of SETI but due to the regular outages of there services I have descided to use CP now. I like the look of the graphics but find when they are running they use 50% of my CPU resources.
My system includes
AMD XP1600+ (oc\'ed from 1400mhz to 1607mhz)
9600XT Graphics Card
512 Mb DDR
Windows 2000 Pro

I would assume that all graphics tasks should be able to be taken by the GPU leaving the CPU for the primary calculations but this does not seem to be the case
