So then the results of a completed run would differ too between different operating systems and processor's make?

I came back to climateprediction about two month or so back, after a long leave and naturally also ran into this errors. I quickly found out that this is normal.
What I don't really understand about this though is that if "INVALID THETA" or "NEGATIVE PRESSURE" are problems with the model, I would expect them to fail at the same point and therefore approximately the same credit claimed on all machines. I noticed however that the point where the models fail with this message vary widely and even complete for some persons. Can anyone of you explain that to me?

> Not good news, but if you are willing to let the run finish then the science
> should still be of value.

First of all thanks for the quick answer.
I don't care about the credits, but if the results are lost in the database the computingtime would be better spend on a new WU.

I have a strange Problem with one of my machines. It is computing without problems on the WU "2uwm_400154712". But in my profile for this host there are no trickles whatsoever for this hostid from the time it started on this WU. Additionaly the name of this WU doesn't even exist in the profile. The WU my machine is supposedly working on according to thew profile exists as a zip file, but never got extracted. I'm at the end of phase 2 now and I have no file called trickle_up*.xml. The hostid is 97304
5) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : Boinc skipping timesteps (Message 11530)

> > Fast PCs will skip the listing of some timesteps...that is not a
> problem.
> >
> > The problem is Linux CPDN client 4.11 which was released in early March,
> and
> > with which no one has completed a work unit. I loaded up a PC at work,
> dual
> > processor 2.8 GHz Xeon which was running mesoscale computer models for
> months,
> > and it would always crash work units with 4.11 anywhere from 2 to 10
> trickles
> > into it. The Linux client is unstable. If you sort forum listings by
> last
> > answer/post, you will see numerous others who are having problems with
> the
> > client.
> >
> Thanks for the fast answer. I knew about the problems with 4.11 but I am using
> 4.19 and thought the two things could be correlated. I'm glad the skipping of
> the timesteps is only in the display and not in computing. Hopefully one of
> the next Work units will finish computing. *crossing fingers*
>
Ups, I just found out 4.11 refers to the hadsm3 version and not the boinc version. That got me confused.

I have a little problem on two of my machines. They seem to skip timesteps:

Also after trickle 12 the result is always closed with exit status 251:
4.19
process exited with code 251 (0xfb)

I hope one of you can help me with this issue.
