Hm. It still wouldn't be 64-bit in my case, as the rest of the system isn't there yet. I think someone has a 64-bit compiled version of Debian out there, but I'm not using it yet. I was mainly hoping that something would be available which would at least go as fast as possible on what I have. It isn't a crisis or anything though. Cheers! |

Posted 28 Jan 2005 by old_user43578 Post: Hey all, I've just started on the climateprediction app, but had seen mention that the AMD processors were slower. Mine is an Athlon 64 3500+, currently running in 32-bit mode on Linux. It's just using the default build at the moment, but I could recompile if it will make a noticable difference. Suggestions? |
