Hi Tony,

Maybe this is the same problem, isn't it?

BOINC 4.13 may have something to do with it.

Hi Tony,

You did stability checks on your computer and it seems OK, now I don't have any idea why these problems happened.
(How was the temperature of your PC when these problem occured?)

As far as I know, there is no trouble similar to what you experienced on BOINC 4.13, so what I can say is, let's watch your new WU.

Hi Tony,

It looks like your one of the PC (Host ID 7943) has trouble.

It has shown that almost all the crashes were associated either with underpowered machines and those running Win98/ME/NT (neither of which apply here), or there were factors particular to individual machines which might have been overclocked, have some trouble with memory, problem with graphic card, etc.
Have you run any stability checks on your compute(Host ID 7943)? CPDN does seem to require very stable computers. You may want to read this and try stability checks.

This is only a guess, so it might be a trouble in BOINC 4.13, but I think that chance is low.

Hi Thyme,

Thanks for your message.
I did delete one startup BOINC so it's fine now.

Let's see if this problem will be fixed in the next new version or not.

Thanks for your advise.

I checked my PC and there were 2 BOINC startups (one for mine and another for every-user).
I don't know why this happened.
Also my screensaver was set to BOINC. (I didn't set BOINC as a screensaver)

Maybe, install program of BOINC 4.13 does something different from previous version.

I\'ve just upgraded to BOINC 4.13.

Now everytime I start BOINC, I get an error message.

Failed to cleanup the Windows Sockets Interface

But other than this error message, everything looks fine.

Is there any solution to stop this error message?
7) Questions and Answers : Windows : BOINC 4.09 CPU Benchmark Problem (Message 4344)

I did a reboot and minimized running programs when I tried second time.
The result was same.

It was all OK when I was running BOINC 4.05.

Strange.

Well, anyway, BOINC 4.09 looks fine for me except for this benchmark test.

I\'ve just installed BOINC 4.09 and have problem with CPU benchmark.

As you can see below, CPU benchmark will time out and about 15 minutes till time out, PC has no response.

--- - 2004-09-19 00:28:59 - Running CPU benchmarks
--- - 2004-09-19 00:28:59 - Suspending computation and network activity -running CPU benchmarks
--- - 2004-09-19 00:45:28 - CPU benchmarks timed out, using default values
--- - 2004-09-19 00:45:28 - Benchmark results:
--- - 2004-09-19 00:45:28 - Number of CPUs: 2
--- - 2004-09-19 00:45:28 - 1164 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
--- - 2004-09-19 00:45:28 - 1664 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU
--- - 2004-09-19 00:45:28 - Finished CPU benchmarks
--- - 2004-09-19 00:45:29 - Resuming computation and network activity

I tried twice but got same result.
(I am afraid of doing third time.)

Using Windows XP Home Edition+SP2, Seti+CPDN+LHC.

Is there anyone who did experience the same problem?

(I posted same problem on S@H community message board, so that many people having same problem can see easily and click \"I also have this problem\" botton.)
