Also because its running primegrid and einstein on cuda also which take some cpu power

I am currently running a Hadcm3n unit which have passed his data 07-07-1941 and is running for more then 24 hours, but has not send any trickles at all.

I tried to see what happens when i let boinc reconnect but again no result at all
What is different with these long running models since i am used the models send trickles when passing 1921.
3) Questions and Answers : Windows : uploading result - http error (Message 37142)

I have this problem for days in a row on many different machines
The poroblem is not my isp or any proxy its the damn servers which not allow us to upload, simple and plain.
Everytime the same issue when do the admins gonna fix this problem
Before again weeks of work is going down the drain AGAIN.

There is a period of time around midnight UK time, (or just before), when the credits programs run. This uses up all of the servers processing capacity, and people trying to upload files get an internal HTTP error, which is a server problem, not your computer.
After a few hours this clears up, and uploads continue.
If you've been having this for the same file for all of this time, then it's a different problem.

You don't have until 2010 to finish, as this project doesn't have deadlines. The date that you see is because the BOINC software requires one for other projects, and an arbitrary date is chosen a long time in the future to fool it.

But there is a closer deadline which IS fatal: once BOINC starts a zip upload, you only have 14 days to complete that upload. After this, BOINC gives up and deletes the entire work unit.

There may be a problem with your ISP, or your proxy.

PS
Please read this thread in Number crunching. It may explain why your computer can't process the models it's been getting.
You can select / reject the model types in your account preferences.

In your list of computers (click on All computers if necessary) it looks to me as if the five computers are all different which means the merge did work. Credit is now shown for the Athlon 3500.

The Athlon 3500 was the issue indeed because before the merge it showed 3 different ones for the same machine.
Maybe i was to early with reporting :)

As to the issue on pending credits ill will look it up.

When i tried to merge hosts i got this message :

Processing A3500
Warning: Missing argument 3 for hosts_compatible(), called in /var/www/boinc/projects/cpdnboinc/html/inc/host.inc on line 409 and defined in /var/www/boinc/projects/cpdnboinc/html/inc/host.inc on line 317

Merging host 586504 into host 705241
Retired old computer 586504
Merged 586504 into 705241

Processing OPT144

Processing A3800

Processing A175

Processing QXP-9850-w7x64

so as it seems the merging of A3500 went wrong and indeed shows no longer the credits it build up in time.

But what i wonder about is that i still have huge peding credits which never got rewarded

Am i the only one with this or is this a common issue,
since i like this project i was stunned to see so many points never got rewarded.

6575821 6051361 705241 11,197.44
6660422 6067399 704964 6,842.88

Now this is weird why i never got this rewarded

Me amazed i have no clue what happened but my machine needed a reboot for an update from my burning software.
After the reboot the cpdn finally found the right server again i don\'t see any significant changes in the xml files maybe it got messed because i have cpdn seasonal running as well.
Seems the problem got solved by itself

well i checked your solution but no go in this file the link is :
<scheduler_url>http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi</scheduler_url>
If i copy this into my browser i have no problem at all to connect to that server and page and it shows me the following info:

<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"ISO-8859-1\" ?>
- <scheduler_reply>
<scheduler_version>509</scheduler_version>
<master_url>http://climateprediction.net/</master_url>
<message priority=\"low\">Incomplete request received.</message>
</scheduler_reply>

So i guess something else is buggy on cpdn because my other machine has now contacted this server as well
So any one else some bright ideas besides firewall or proxy (not the problem anyway)

I stopped this project because its allready more then 100 hours running and i see no point in running until the problem is fixed
This is the 5th time i have trouble running cpdn.

9-7-2007 15:09:53|climateprediction.net|Reason: scheduler request failed

even 20 manual tries and all the automatic tries to connect ... nothing.
i was allready wondering why i suddenly get lower much lower credits all the time.
the only thing that has changed firewall/settings/programs wise is just that i installed 5.10.13 because the lower versions where buggy.

One of the models hasn\'t returned any trickles, and the other one only sent in it\'s first trickle today.

No trickles, no credit.
And the credit program only runs through the massive database once a day.

Ahhh me did not see that, hence the glasses ;)
Looks like i had a outage on my inet yesterday when it tried to contact the server and i forgot to check the date on the trickles i assumed those where on different days as normal.

Have you also thought about how much impact politics has on this issue.

In my country all prices go up like mad for everything gas, eletric and many things more but one of them is water.

Now what has water price for impact on global warming, i can show you in every town there is.

People change their gardens into pavements or even into parking spots because
they don\'t want to water the garden for the plants and have to work on the them.

So you see this changing into a barren wasteland full of brick, which ofcourse has a enormous impact on animals as well, no wonder lots of species are going to die out.

And ofcourse this has a impact on global warming as well again less plants who do the co2 conversion.

I have something weird
In boinc i run 2 projects at present rosetta and cpdn
For a while i was running in a team but after some problems there i wanted to leave this team thing.
Now on rosetta it all went smooth, but on cpdn it says i am not part of that team or can\'t leave there....
I tried several times but all the time it failed to do what i want.
Can someone fix this for me ?!

1GB should be plenty for two coupled models (only 100MB each). This is unlike SAP where they take up to 450MB each, and 1GB is a squeeze (but I am actually running a pair of SAPs in 1GB at the moment, with difficulty). What else was taking memory?

In the long run, I\'d say 1GB per core is a good idea for new PC purchases. Things are going to get much bigger soon.

I must agree on the memory i recently received the rma from ocz back :)
The new memory is outperforming the pc4400 memory even though its pc3200 mem.
On amd systems 2-3-2-5 timings gives best performance.
Second i was running with 1 GB memory but now with the 2 GB all is running smoother
BTW guys are you running 32 or 64 bit vista ultimate

The cpu setting is 100% in preferences

1) Running one model does not change the erractic running

2) The jumps follow each other in several seconds about <1 to 2 seconds between the jumps, no other processes are showing much cpu consumption just between 0 to 2 % for some normal windows proces

3) I also gave the boinc proces as usual a cpu assigned to it, to see if that helped which made it less jumpy but still it keeps jumping up and down.

4) Going to reinstall boinc after i finished testing a smp program from folding@home on which our team is doing a stampede, which looks very promising for multi core cpu\'s.

What i mean is that under xp the load on the cpu\'s is allways 100%
Not like under vista jumps from low to high cpu load
I know vista was power hungry but still 2 Gb memory should be enough
I try to see if i made an error with the installation off boinc itself
But untill now haven\'t got it running smooth at all
