Posted 27 Jan 2005 by old_user40993 Post: Hi! after first time starting (./boinc_4.13_i686-pc-linux-gnu) i got error messages, that i have to few disk space. So i edited global_prefs.xml and changed disk_max_used_gb, disk_max_used_pct and disk_min_free_gb. After restarting, i got this: 2005-01-27 15:34:00 [---] Starting BOINC client version 4.13 for i686-pc-linux-gnu 2005-01-27 15:34:00 [climateprediction.net] Project prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults 2005-01-27 15:34:00 [climateprediction.net] Host ID is 92774 2005-01-27 15:34:00 [---] General prefs: from climateprediction.net (last modified 1970-01-01 01:00:00) 2005-01-27 15:34:00 [---] General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults 2005-01-27 15:34:00 [climateprediction.net] Deferring communication with project for 30 minutes and 50 seconds Question 1: Why does boinc deffer the communications now? Question 2: Why does it say: "no separate prefs for home; using your defaults"? I DO have a global_prefs.xml thanx! hal |
