Posted 13 Apr 2006 by old_user35582 Post: I\'ve also aborted a model which kept crashing at less than 1%, and then clicked Update. I\'m using BOINC 5.2.13 on Windows XP SP2, AMD Athlon XP 2700+, 512Mb RAM. I keep getting: 13/04/2006 1:34:17 PM|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 13/04/2006 1:34:17 PM|climateprediction.net|Reason: To fetch work 13/04/2006 1:34:17 PM|climateprediction.net|Requesting 8640 seconds of new work 13/04/2006 1:34:22 PM|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded 13/04/2006 1:34:22 PM|climateprediction.net|No work from project 13/04/2006 1:35:22 PM|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 13/04/2006 1:35:22 PM|climateprediction.net|Reason: To fetch work 13/04/2006 1:35:22 PM|climateprediction.net|Requesting 8640 seconds of new work 13/04/2006 1:35:27 PM|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded 13/04/2006 1:35:27 PM|climateprediction.net|No work from project The page at http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/server_status.php is showing that all servers are running and 72 results are ready to send. Posted 11 Oct 2005 by old_user35582 Post: I\'m using BOINC 4.45 on Windows XP Professional SP2, AMD Athlon XP 2700+ with 512Mb RAM. Yesterday my first sulphur cycle model began downloading. Unfortunately I lost my internet connection during download of the sulphur_data_4.19_windows_intelx86.zip file (but after download of the actual workunit file and all the other files). Upon reconnecting to the internet I was relieved to see that the sulphur_data_4.19_windows_intelx86.zip file had resumed downloading where it left off. However after it finished BOINC could not start the workunit. I checked the \\BOINC\\projects\\climateprediction.net folder and the workunit had \"disappeared\". BOINC attempted to fetch another unit but displayed the messages Message from server: No work sent Message from server: (reached daily quota of 1 results) Today I tried again. To my surprise BOINC downloaded the sulphur_data_4.19_windows_intelx86.zip file again, along with a new workunit. Since then the messages are: 11/10/2005 9:41:49 PM|climateprediction.net|Finished download of sulphur_4678_000294932.zip 11/10/2005 9:41:49 PM|climateprediction.net|Throughput 1478 bytes/sec 11/10/2005 11:15:06 PM|climateprediction.net|Finished download of sulphur_data_4.19_windows_intelx86.zip 11/10/2005 11:15:06 PM|climateprediction.net|Throughput 4286 bytes/sec 11/10/2005 11:15:06 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: files downloaded 11/10/2005 11:15:06 PM|climateprediction.net|Starting result sulphur_4678_000294932_0 using sulphur_cycle version 4.19 11/10/2005 11:16:43 PM||Suspending work fetch because computer is overcommitted. 11/10/2005 11:16:43 PM||Using earliest-deadline-first scheduling because computer is overcommitted. 11/10/2005 11:20:49 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: process exited 11/10/2005 11:20:49 PM|climateprediction.net|Computation for result sulphur_4678_000294932_0 finished 11/10/2005 11:20:49 PM||Allowing work fetch again. 11/10/2005 11:20:49 PM||Resuming round-robin CPU scheduling. 11/10/2005 11:20:49 PM|climateprediction.net|Unrecoverable error for result sulphur_4678_000294932_0 (<file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_4678_000294932_0_1.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error><file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_4678_000294932_0_2.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error><file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_4678_000294932_0_3.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error><file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_4678_000294932_0_4.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error><file_xfer_error> <file_name>sulphur_4678_000294932_0_5.zip</file_name> <error_code>-161</error_code> <error_message></error_message></file_xfer_error>) 11/10/2005 11:20:50 PM|climateprediction.net|Deferring communication with project for 58 seconds 11/10/2005 11:21:49 PM|climateprediction.net|Sending scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi 11/10/2005 11:21:49 PM|climateprediction.net|Requesting 8640 seconds of work, returning 1 results 11/10/2005 11:21:53 PM|climateprediction.net|Scheduler request to http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc_cgi/cgi succeeded 11/10/2005 11:21:53 PM|climateprediction.net|Message from server: No work sent 11/10/2005 11:21:53 PM|climateprediction.net|Message from server: (reached daily quota of 1 results) 11/10/2005 11:32:31 PM||Insufficient work; requesting more 12/10/2005 12:20:50 AM|climateprediction.net|Deferring communication with project for 9 hours, 47 minutes, and 59 seconds 12/10/2005 12:32:31 AM||Insufficient work; requesting more How do I correct this problem and get things working again? I have noticed that the sub-folder for my sulphur cycle model does not contain a viewpoint.xml file like the sub-folders from my previous non-sulphur cycle models do, if this is significant. |
