That\'s odd. Is it the same for every field. ( clouds, pressure, precip )
have you tired running the standalone version.
i.e sulphur_gfx*

> By the way: Running the visualizations eats up a remarkable share of CPU time.

The gfx cpu utilisation capped at 20%. You can change this on your user prefs page amongst other
things.

>visualization before (these show a globe with, like a puzzle, a little white piece missing in the lower right corner).

This was actually intended to be a globe with clouds around it. (highlights my artistic skill : or lack thereof)
If there are any graphics artists out there able to do something better, we\'d be very grateful.

PS: please be patient. I\'ll make available a new Advanced Visualization on all platforms.

It\'s been doing this for a month or so.
And my conclusion about the missing models, is the same: they\'re sulphur runs.

No, actually we just didn\'t select to display any sulphur runs.
I intended to come back to this - but haven\'t had the time.
The page should probably show last ten sulphur and slab runs.
and an index to view further runs up to say 100.
It turned out to be a bigger project for its priority level
we\'ll revisit soon.

We really shouldn\'t have to drill down into the forums to find an announcement that 4.22 sulphur model for Mac was released.

You\'re absolutely right ( sorry about this) I\'ll add a link to the navigational bar today reflecting latest app versions on each platform.

51) Questions and Answers : Preferences : Rotation Preference keeps getting \"lost\" (Message 17901)
Posted 8 Dec 2005 by old_user3
Post:
I\'ll fix this right away.
It\'ll make it into the next build.
I\'ve taken out counter clockwise rotation. (I not about to disprove Galileo\'s theory).

In any case, you have to force an update for the changes to take effect.
I.e after making the change, from the cleint - switch to the work tab
highlight the project and select update.

52) Questions and Answers : Unix/Linux : libX11.so.6 missing for client - running on ipcop (Message 17899)
Posted 8 Dec 2005 by old_user3
Post:
River: I\'m assuming the sulphur and slab WU\'s are still running
( recent active trickle). If this is the case then please don\'t
detach from the project.

The problem seems to be the graphics thread.
dlopen() won\'t always succeed on every host ( several reasons e.g missing libX11.so.6 or one of the other X libs ).
This is why the graphics thread is implemented as a
shared library and outside of the main program.

So if it fails, no biggie - you can continue running as normal.
but you won\'t be able to launch the graphics program.

Is anyone else having this problem of crash WU because of missing
X libs? is this behaviour repetitive?

The separate library thing isn\'t elegant and something we want to
move away from.
We\'ve acquired a new Mac and will be trying out other compilers
in the comming months.

I\'ll also add messages to indicate which operation i.e \"recording...\"
\"playback...\"

ID of the failed results: 1348318, it has same error in MacLib.c as 4.21.

This is an error from the boinc cleint itself. Yes try upgrading to
the latest version 5.2.13.

Bernhard : I\'ll tale a look at this.
The main program only tries to launch the graphics thread
if the libraries are available and dlopen succeeds.
If this fails, then it assumes the prerequisite graphics
libraries aren\'t available and continues to launch the worker
program.

In light of this, I\'ll make the playback functionality
a key combination you type ( e.d \"record\" ) rather than
one you could hit accidentally.

I did this originally but was told it would be too difficult
for ppl to discover. - Comments welcome please.
