1) Questions and Answers : Windows : stats update still (or again?) doesn\'t work (Message 12320)

Hi all,

now I have the last trickle in my stats (it was sent today morning).
Now only the trickles between are missing...
So the stats for host 292 look very funny - up to Apr 30th every day it sent out one trickle minimum, then a break for 5 days and now one trickle for a new WU again... :-)

Bye
Stefan

it's ID 292
The others (e.g. 298) still are OK.

Hi,
some of my hosts are current in the stats but one shows last result for Apr 30th (today is May 3rd) - but it works all the time and sends out trickles min. once a day without problems.
Also the final result of a job (completed today morning) does not appear in stats, upload of the result and download of a new WU was succcessful.
The new WU also is visible in my stats and is assigned to the correct host (the old one points to the same one).

Is there still something going on with the stats?

Bye Stefan

I'm using the newest version of CPDN and BOINC already, but there was no difference. But I thank you for your recommendation!

Thank you! This was very helpful! I ignored this parameter until now... :-))

Sorry - what a nonsense I wrote here?!? :-(
This is not so easy, of course, because the two computers are totally different and so you will not be able to merge them, I'm afraid...

Hello Tom,

did you take your data from the old computer? Then it should be no problem to make a merge of the two computers.
Otherwise - sorry, don't know if there is any solution.

Hello,
I've some not SOOOO fast computers running BOINC. Some of them share CP and SETI, e.g..
When BOINC switches between projects it restarts the paused project at some sort of checkpoint. Especially I've seen this in CP, there it restarts at 00:00 1 or 2 days before the last result. Example of output:

So BOINC loses some time already used for the calculation of same data (in the example above: 15 minutes of overlapping calculation).

Can I avoid or reduce this? The preference "Write to disk at most every XX seconds" has no influence.

I'm using BOINC 4.19. I've seen this in Linux and Windows build of BOINC.

Thank you!

Bye
Stefan
