Put the correct ID in and it's up and running. Apologies. |

I have used the following: http://pirates.vassar.edu http://climateprediction.net http://climateapps2.ox.uk/cpdnboinc Before completion of the last two projects Windows XP was returning a "BOINC GUI ERROR" but this had no apparent ill effect. |

Posted 8 Dec 2004 by old_user25746 Post: My first two runs complete in Windozw I can't get it running in my prefered OS. I have downloaded it, created the dir, unzipped it, chmoded it to have root permissions. When I run it it wants a URL and then my ID. Having tried several times with the correct ID it bombs out with, "Please check your account ID and try again". I am not going back to Windoze as a matter of principle so any ideas how to get it going in linux. I just knew it would be trouble. Thanks in anticipation. |
