It\'s machines we have legitimate access to, and we want to automate it. Normally, Unix programs can be run non-interactively, giving input as arguments or with shell variables. Boinc uses both of these, but not near as much as is needed. For example it would be great to be able to specify what project to use and the user ID as arguments. These would be great improvements to already neat software.

The compile worked fine, and the software runs, however the Climate Prediction project won\'t give it any work. The client reports 2004-10-22 20:23:53 [climateprediction.net] Message from server: platform \'alphaev6-unknown-linux-gnu\' not found. Does every platform have to be added manually? If so, we would like to see this one added!
