(Message 5412) Posted 15 Oct 2004 by old_user24869 Post: I downloaded the latest source yesterday and compiled with /O2/G7/SSE2 (Athlon64 3000) and I got a decent perf boost over the default build (forgot to write down #\'s), and a 1.4%/11.5% whetstone/drystone performance increase over 4.09 that i downloaded off this site. I was kind of surprised I didn\'t see anyone offering optimized nightly builds on the forums which makes me wonder if there is a reason. Is there any reason I shouldn\'t use an optimized build?
