@WB8ILI, @Lockleys, @Alan K, Does part of the message/event log about this have "locked by file_upload_handler PID=" in the output? Just trying to make sure this is the same problem as other cam25 upload problems here and on the dev site. Thanks.

I haven't seen this message in the Event Log. Just 19/02/2018 21:28:22 | climateprediction.net | Temporarily failed upload of wah2_cam25_a05e_200405_18_691_011369743_0_r1614740798_restart.zip: transient HTTP error

<quote> For anyone happy with playing with their config files, might be worth looking at this post which is to do with stuck uploads on another Mexican batch https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=8251#54582 <unquote>

I have been running with that fix installed since Les Bayliss first published and have never taken it out again. So it can't be that.

A more recent CAM25 has completed and fully uploaded successfully. The successful task was batch 694. The stuck upload task is batch 691. That may help.

I note that BetelgeuseFive's stuck uploads are from batch 689. Perhaps someone in Mexico has gone to sleep regarding the earlier batches.

EDIT. I also have a later CAM25 model from the same batch, 691, which has finished and fully uploaded successfully.

Dave, My stuck uploads have been stuck since before the recent outage and are still stuck.

Yes, I would like to add my frustration with these CAM25 stuck uploads. Does anybody have a clue about these?

I know from earlier posts that these are uploaded to a server that is distant from Oxford so it isn't of itself an Oxford problem. And previous posts have said that Oxford doesn't have the capacity to divert the CAM25 uploads to their servers. I am tempted to abort the transfers to clear it from my end but I am reluctant to abort if it can be solved.

Any advice would be welcome.

I have had a stuck upload from batch 691 for so many weeks I have lost track.

My stuck upload (cam25) is also from batch 691. It's the restart.zip upload and it's stuck at 27.64%. Do we abort these uploads or continue to have patience?

I am having the same problem but they all eventually upload with the exception of a restart.zip for a cam25 model, batch 691 which is stuck at 27.63 percent.

Past behaviour reassures us that it will all catch up. When the script runs, your credit score will update to recognise all the work you have completed. So it will be a bit like a lottery win - your bank balance will shoot up by a greater amount than usual. Meanwhile, live in anticipation.

I'm treating the lack of work as a good opportunity to clear out all the dead wood files in projects. I'm systematically Removing CPDN and then rejoining the project to create clean starts. Over the years of continuous running and with occasional fails, I know there is rubbish in there but I'm not certain which are the good files and which the bad.

I see we currently have another upload issue. It's affecting my zips for eu25 models which are failing to go.

I've just hit the ultimate issue with WIN10. A laptop with it on came to its end of life. Screen became detached from the body with fractured hinges, and it was underpowered anyway, so I decided to help it to its termination point.

But of course, I had personal data on it. My usual preferred method is using DBAN to obliterate all residual data. That refused to load. I then tried the innate WIN10 method of resetting the OS with all user data removed. That resulted in a continuous loop, trying to load Windows, which went on for 10 hours before I stopped it. Finally, I unscrewed the machine and took out the hard disc which is now waiting for me to take it outside and hit it with a hammer.

That will teach it.

Thanks Les. I think I shall do that as it seems the piece of magic that came to visit Vitalii's upload isn't going to do it for mine.

Yes, it's http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=19754033 and I have zip 12 stuck at 37.6% uploaded. This is the same one that I referred to earlier in this thread with http_debug and http_xfer_debug logs on September 21st. The task is at 100%, all other zips have completed their uploads and each time I turn on network connectivity I still get a log string like this:

10/10/2016 05:00:00 | climateprediction.net | Started upload of wah2_mex25_c0il_199112_13_410_010609145_0_12.zip

I've done that (suspend BOINC, exit, restart) several times, including Windows reboot, since the stuck zip appeared. I have even taken a backup and moved it to a different PC in a different town and tried the upload there. No benefit.

Now that I have returned from roaming and am with my PC, I can confirm that my MEX stuck upload is 105.67MB and has frozen after 37.64% has previously uploaded.

To clarify. It is still stuck at 37.64%.
