There are 2500 new 10-month East Asia models at 50 km in batch # 857 (batch list).

So when we see a note about new models, such as this one, where do the less-than-cognescenti look to see whether it's a Linux batch or a Windows batch?

My upload fail is still the same:

Interestingly, I am running 4 cam25 models and only this model is currently presenting the stuck upload for the _restart.zip. Other zips for this and other models are going through.

I'm away from the machine until Tuesday. Will reboot and check then.
Nothing much happening "upstairs".
Is there any improvement with the zips?

I haven't been clicking update. Just for the record of evidence.
I think the message "locked by file_upload_handler" is when you click update, and it's too soon after the server was last told.

I've sent another message about these cam25s.

I spoke slightly too soon, it seems. I am running 4 cam25 models on a Windows 7 system. All the zips are uploading correctly and regularly except for a restart.zip which repeatedly gets stuck at 84.5% with transient HTTP error/project servers may be temporarily down. I've had this now for a couple of days.

Many [edit: ALL] of my CAMs have now cleared. Thanks, all.

Me too. I wonder: is it worth continuing to process CAM work units at all? This always seems to happen with them.

What I've done with previous CAM25s that have persistently stuck uploads is just abort the transfers that are obviously stuck. After aborting the transfers, it will report the task, possibly as a success, and the scientists can determine whether the output is useful without the missing zips. I've only done this with the CAM25 tasks however since those are the ones that seem to occasionally have the rogue stuck uploads.

Good tip.

Like other posters, my zips for SAM50 and SAFR50 models have all cleared. But one ZIP for a CAM25 model repeatedly sticks at 13.47 percent of the upload. I have a folk memory that we have had this issue before but cannot remember whether there was a solution or whether we all just aborted them as Les suggests.

Climateprediction.net must hold the honour of probably being the worst maintained project in BOINC history.

I would suggest that it also has the honours of being both the most complicated BOINC project and also the most worthwhile for planetary survival.
