What source? BOINC? From the BOINC site at UC-Berkeley.

For CPDN? Forget it, it\'s proprietary, licensed from UK Met. Office by Uni. Oxford; we, as participants, have no option to compile the million line Fortran Model.

I\'m sorry for the misunderstanding,
before joining to the project I have read:
http://www.climateprediction.net/info/part_faq.php#q2.8

My English is bad, but I had understood that everybody want to access to CPDN sources to port it to a new platform (OSX Intel for example), to debug or simply to recompile it and be sure that the model is doing what they claim it is doing may access to it at some condition, but free of charge.
However it would remain the problem that probably could not diffuse its improvements and perhaps even the binary for the new platform...

Hi,
The source of Boinc are on the berkeley site: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/compile_client.php (but not very easy to compile if you want the GUI)

I know it, I have already compiled it.

There is no source available for the climate model.

:-(
From a fast reading of the FAQ before join to the project,
me it seemed that nearly all were available...boh

The problem with Slackware is not fixed, so it\'s better to change of Linux distro if possible.

:-(
Usually I use Linux Slackware (principally without X11) and OSX.

Best regards and Thanks for the clear answer.
Gianluca.

Calm,
I have joined to CPDN 3 days ago and I was not a lot informed.
I wanted to only try to make to go CPDN on Slack...
I\'ll leave the project and will perhaps resume it when and if the problem will be resolved from who can.

Hi,
I have the same problem of John Reeves.

I have tried on 2 Slackware:

Slackware 10.0 (default kernel)

Slackware 10.1 (compiled kernel)

To astroWX,
Thanks, I found a thread that relates to this. Are there any plans to update the client to the newer glibc library?

News?
Where can I download source?
What do I need to compile it?
