I'm probably going to abort the transfer and limit my project participation to no more than 1 work unit at a time so I don't waste so much computer time on these in the future. I had 8 going this last week, 6 couldn't handle a reboot and the 2 that finished won't upload. Waste of time and energy at this point, it's just too fragile. That's sad because I think this is one of the more worthwhile projects out there and up until now I had given CPDN the absolute highest priority on my computers.

I have had a couple of climateprediction.net tasks complete recently but I've also noticed that if I have to reboot my computer or shut down BOINC for any reason with a climateprediction.net task in progress, when I restart BOINC the task status changes to computation error. Is there a setting I need to check or something to keep this from happening? It's happened a few times recently and it's kind of sad because I have had a few days of work done on those tasks when they failed out with the computation error. It's only the climateprediction.net tasks that are failing with the computation error whenever BOINC is halted and restarted, all tasks from other projects seem to be able to pick up where they left off when BOINC restarted or the computer was rebooted or whatever. Thanks for any info or advice...

Haven't gotten any tasks in weeks. It connects, and either tells my computer to try back in an hour or simply says no tasks sent. What's the deal?
8) Questions and Answers : Preferences : How to limit number of WUs (Message 62005) Posted 22 Jan 2020 by flensr Post: Hello, I have a problem with managing the number of WUs I get from CPDN. I will get no work units for a month, then suddenly I get 8 (I have 7 cpu cores dedicated to CPDN. Since these take a few days to complete, this makes it so my other projects won't send WUs for several days. I set the CPDN priority to a very low number (under 2%) but this still happens. No WUs for a long time, then suddenly way too many. Is there any way to get it to send just one or two WUs when it does send work? I've also tried changing global settings to have it only get work for half a day and accept up to one more half day of work, but it still grabs way too many WUs at a time. Thanks for any help!
