Well, I was quite surprised as I saw the new work this morning - and I finally got some WUs fom the N144 ones.
Thanks a lot! :-)

Usually there's some clue, however subtle, in the message log when work should be sent but isn't.

Hn, I doubt that, since the debug-option isn't/wasn't activated by default, and they are as far as I know more hintful than the usual boinc manager messages.
As already said, the only message which appeared was "No work sent". If there would have been anything else, I would have said it.
Besides, I can't copy/paste anything here anymore - I turned the whole thing off and am posting from work now.
And since there is no work anymore it's useless anyway later...
Dammit - I would've liked to crunch again, it's so long ago I got cpdn work...
It was far easier as they all did run on Windows... :-(

What did your event log say?

Not sure where to find that or what event log you mean now.
I'm pretty new with the Ubuntu version (18.04) I have and installed that only a few weeks ago. I managed to install BOINC, which was more or less easy.
I found the climateprediction folder after a bit searching now but there is no event log in it...
Earlier as there was enough work, BOINC manager only said "no work sent" several times, nothing more.

I was probably too late now. My manager sent a request to the server a few minutes before I changed settings now, so this (stupid) 1 hour-break kicked in.
Until then I guess the last work left is gone... :-(

Hm, strange, then everything should fit, but it still says "no tasks sent". There are still a few left I see but I don't get one.
Besides, if memory or so won't be enough, it surely would tell me.
Is this maybe marked as test app? There are no settings for it in my account but if this is the case the manager normally doesn't tell anyone as far as I know.

Hm, doesn't seem to work, still get "no tasks sent", although work is still there.
How are the memory requirements for the N144 tasks?

Ah ok, thanks for that. I thought 32-bit libraries were installed on my machine but obviously not.
Install did work, unfortunately I have to wait an hour until my client asks again for work - hopefully there will be a bit work left then...

Linux/x86, which means 32 bit Linux.

Hi there, I just noticed that the most apps are only in 32-Bit also, since on my Ubuntu-version I get no work whatever I do.
Shouldn't these work on 64-Bit also?

Hello!

Looks like I'm having the same problem like the others. After there seems to be no conclusion in almost two weeks and the file already tried to upload for 15 hours I finally came to look here if there's something I can do.

27.11.2013 08:18:18 | climateprediction.net | [error] Error reported by file upload server: can't open file /storage/cpdn-restarts/incoming/uploader/hadam3p_eu_qic1_1999_1_008397041_0_13.zip: No such file or directory
27.11.2013 08:18:18 | climateprediction.net | Temporarily failed upload of hadam3p_eu_qic1_1999_1_008397041_0_13.zip: transient upload error

I assume I can cancel the unit also?

Edit:
I finally see that the referring task already has it's full credits, so I guess the upload really isn't necessary anymore.

I think Badges would be nice, too.
They sometimes help to motivate (me) to crunch a certain project more than before.
But other problems come first, obviously. ;)

I get those EOF-messages on one of my models also since yesterday evening.
Happened two or three times over night that the upload of the trickle reached 100% and then the message appeared.
Unfortunately the trickle prevents my model of being finished, it already is completed and the result file was already uploaded...
Hope this gets solved soon.

Edit:
Looks like it IS solved. The trickle just went through completely. Thanks! :)
13) Questions and Answers : Windows : No longer compatible with BOINC client (Message 12848)

Hm, it seems, for my problem there is no satisfiable solution.
This evening it happened again with two cp wu's, after I had removed Spybot. It was only an attempt, but it will be the one and only. It's hopeless to check out the real cause, I didn't know that much from the whole application.
I'm not changing to another BOINC client which maybe lower, because all other BOINC projects wouldn't allow this.
The only thing I can try now is to switch to the classic cp project.
Can someone tell me if there are credits too and will they be added to the existing BOINC credits?

Thanx for all.

Thanx for the advices from both of you but I'm sorry, they aren't really helpful at all.
Sorry, but I had forgot to describe my computer situation a little bit more, but to your answers I can say:
1. I've updated my BOINC client a few days ago to v4.43. After the crashes I hoped the new version would be a little more stable with cp, but after 6 hours of rendering the whole client crashes again and except for one wu of SETI the other results were lost again. I'm not sure but it seems the problem is caused by the switching of the tasks after the work period, e.g. from cp to seti or cp to einstein.
2. My computer configuration was the same at all time (no bad memory or overheated processors) as it was when I switched to BOINC v4.25 with the new interface. Because of this it can't be a hard- or software problem at all, it really works fine 'til this time.
3. I'm not using ATI Radeon, it's a Geforce NVIDIA 5200. The graphic works fine. The only program I use is the SpyBot, but it is not resident, I only run it once a month or so. I don't think that this program could cause the crash if it's not resident?
4. I forgot something more interesting. If the whole BOINC client crashes by cp running, some of my Windows XP-functions are degenerating to Windows 2000! Surface and messages appear in another form, and I have to restart to get XP back to normal. This is really weird.
5. I don't really want to switch back to v4.19 or less, the new BOINC client is lovely and has a good user interface.

Hello!

I discovered a bad problem with climateprediction. Since the BOINC client has a new interface since v4.25 all models of cp are crashing after some hours of rendering and the result is lost. In addition the whole BOINC client can crash and other work units of other projects are lost.
I don't know why this is happening, maybe the application needs a bugfixing, but I can't continue with the project until this is corrected.
Maybe I'm not the only one with this problem. Is there somebody who knows if there's a way to clean up with this problem?
Thanx for all answers.
