Get a new WU for SETI as well, so I'm back in business! |

Upgrade to 4.13

Posted 3 Dec 2004 by old_user17491 Post: I have almost 600 hours in on this WU, with another 180 to go (about). I've heard of a lot of problems with upgrading to a newer version of CP mid-way thru a WU, so I'm going to wait until this run is complete before getting the next version. For the big question: Is there any way to stop CP from getting another unit after this one has finished, or delaying the "get" until I've had a chance to get ver 4.13 downloaded? Thanks in advance! |

Got a new work unit and SETI has started running as well. Yeah!! |

Once I launched BOINC, it would lock up on me, and then "Not Responding" pops up. I uninstalled and re-installed three times, and this happened every time. I'm going to let this file complete under 4.05 (half way there -- only 265 hrs to go!) before I try to install 4.09 again. Thanks! |

Posted 29 Sep 2004 by old_user17491 Post: I\'m currently running v.4.05 . I\'ve downloaded the 4.09 exec file, but haven\'t installed it yet. When I run this, am I going to lose all the data that my machine has crunched, or will it start where it left off? I really don\'t want to lose the 228 hrs that\'s gone in to this w.u. already. Thanks! |
