Thanks, I found the messages and they indicated a disk space problem, I have plenty of free disk space (5.75Gb) but it prompted me to check my preferences in case they conflicted. I\'ve adjusted these and it seems to be working. Cheers.
2) Questions and Answers : Getting started : Communication deferred (Message 21296) Posted 15 Mar 2006 by old_user173479 Post: I have installed BOINC, attached to the project, included boincmgr.exe and boinc.exe in the exceptions on the firewall but when I try to communicate the status shows communication deferred with a 24 hour countdown. The computer running BOINC connects to the internet via a wireless network, would this make a difference? Or is there something else I should be doing?
