The anonymous platform is what makes Boinc such an interesting DC software. We can use i686 applications on AMD64, K7, pentium4, etc -optimized Boinc, without (too much) hassle. People are using 64 bit OS, but running 32 bit app versions. I run other amd64-compiled applications; so, compiling Boinc for 32-bits is not an option. Is there a way to pass an platform string that climateprediction.net would accept, without downgrading my performance on olher projects? If not, these amd64 computers will not be able to contribute here.
