Posted 6 Jan 2012 by Chris Skull Post: otherwise it will be assumed that the problem is at your end. rare that i have no problem with other projects... it's all time CPDN.... If i tell my problem here there is no answer of a phrase like above. I'll become tired from the support on this, otherwise very good, project. I decide to ask no new WU until the credit is not reported correctly to the stats sites. The only thing we get for our CPU time is credit, we don't ask more... we only ask to report the credit to the stats sites. |

Not understandable for me.... i return 11 trickles from this unit... so there must be many good checkpoints... http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/result.php?resultid=13681388 Searching with Google gives many different results... some says this is a Linux massage..( i use windows ) some says it can also be a error in the wu... Now, what ever... i had this problem some times earlier... last time all units were finished without problems... so i try a new one :) |

The Boinc people will ask them anyway, so it's best to have the answers ready. ;-) Have you set the file_xfer_debug flag in cc_config.xml? What are the messages (Advanced view -> Messages tab) after you do that? Also, do uploads to other projects work OK? I don't have problems with other project uploads... cc_config.xml ... i have this saved some month ago: <cc_config>

Posted 28 Apr 2011 by Chris Skull Post: Hallo, i have a rar upload problem with CPN workunits, but i think its a problem with Boinc-manager, not with CPN-server. I try to explain it in English :) Upload starts, but after some minutes Boinc manager think the upload is broken and says: try again over X minutes. But the upload isnt broken ! It stil goes on, i see this on my router and network traffic monitor. If i wait to the "real" end of the upload and manually say Boinc manager try again now, the upload starts again an d after one second its reportet as finish. If i don't do that and Boinc manager try again it self after X minutes the upload starts new and the same problem comes. I think there is a problem with the feedback massages to Boinc manager that the upload still is in progres ?! Is there any resoluton ? |

CP was the first project i asked for new work... so CP found 4 cores with no work :) Next time i restart the other projects first. In the past when i run 5 or 6 projects CP never download more then 2 wu's |

Posted 4 Apr 2011 by Chris Skull Post: Hello, i set my network settings in Boinc manager to : get work for 0,3 days. As i restart CP it download 4 Headmaps :) thats work for 4 weeks. After 3 hour download all 4 wu's start to work ( other projects wu's were busy to ) Maybe the problem is that Boinc manager was empty at this time and i have a quadcore CPU ? How can i manage that CP wont download more than 2 headmaps ? And start only 1 unit ? Greetz |
