How often a user get credits on climateprediction.net work?

Depending on your PC. Mine returns a trickle about once per day on a P4 3.2.

Yes it doesn\'t work with the 64 bit BOINC as I get the message that it can\'t find the 64 bit application.

Thanks for the response.

So if I download a Climate WU using my 64 bit BOINC and 64 Bit operating system (linux) will the climate 32 bit still run. I am running 64 bit applications like RieselSieve and ABC and WEP-M+2 Project on it but if I go away I like to run a Climate model because if my internet connection drops, I am in the country and it happens regularly, I can still process something.

Thanks
7) Message boards : Number crunching : Optimizing? (Message 25338)
Posted 29 Nov 2006 by Profile Dingo
Post:
Donavan: I guess this phenomenon depends very much on the project. It is true that SETI favours Intels, especially the models with a large cache. But in Einstein, for example, any halfway decent AMD wipes the floor with its Intel equivalent (the Intel mobile architectures do okay, though, or better than ordinary Pentiums in any case) and Macs are worst off. It depends on the science app; certain code does better with certain CPU architectures. Therefore some of the optimized apps, but with those, you really have to know what you\'re doing or you\'re risking stability issues aswell.
FYI: I\'ve got a 3500+ and I\'m more than content with its CPDN performance, so, don\'t worry about that ;-)

All my PC\'s but one are Intels and the other is an AMD Duel Core. From what members of the Team have stated and demonstrated AMD\'s are better at most of the projects with the Exceptions of the ones stated. The science is what I do the projects for but the credits keep us all interested.

I also have not had any trickles since 15/06. I am going to SUSPEND Climate on all my PC's till they make some sort of statement. I don't see why I should waist my PC's time crunching this project when I can get better value for time on another.

Hi

On another note: I have noticed that my DT machine has 1 X Climate and 1 X Seti running together. This is fine but when the preempting happens I end up with just either the Climate or seti running but not both.

> Hi, well the team was just created, but his trickles were from two weeks ago?
> A team would only get credit for the trickles that the user has since the time
> he joined the team, so if he was in a team before that they got the credit (or
> if he wasn't on a team they went into "credit heaven!")
>
>
>
>

So why did his credit show up untill I got some credit, but I accept the answer as it is logical that only the credits erned in the team are on the team total etc. So if someone leaves the team does their credit stay with the team ??

Thanks for the answer...

Hi

Our team only had one user (waynestanford)that had some trickles credited and the team page had his total and recent average. I sent some trickles last night and the Team page now only has my Total and Recent average and his has dissappeared. This surely is not operating to Specs......... The Team page currently shows the following:

Members 3
Total credit 226.84
Recent average credit 230.02
Founder Dingo
Country Australia

Team members
Name Total credit Recent average credit Country
1) waynestanford 907.37 161.74 Australia

2) Dingo 226.84 230.02 Canada

Thanks
