Posted 9 Jan 2008 by old_user137573 Post: Realy interesting: I´m using the kaspersky suite on this PC. Because we have a well maintenanced hardware firewall i´ve always disabled the firewall function within kasperky. So i didn´t look for a problem with this piece of software. Disabeling the virus checking option i was able to uplod the file! I was playing around, diabled it before start of the transfer and enabled it at about 1,25/4,97 MB. All-in-all: Kaspersky running w/o firewall, enabled virus detection: no upload, diabled virus detection: all fine I´ve never heard of any behaviour like this but i´ll for sure remember when problems with the next upload for CPDN will appear :-) |

I´ve tried a dial up without any proxy or firewall, but the problem persist. My normal connection is a cable connection, the firewall configured right well with exceptions for boinc and without a proxy. Former uploads worked well also. Some threads down someone has similar problems some month ago and they vanished just so. But i don´t like to wait for 14 days and loose the WU ... |

Posted 9 Jan 2008 by old_user137573 Post: Since about 2 day´s boinc tries to upload a file. I always get errors like these: 09.01.2008 08:45:23|climateprediction.net|[file_xfer] Started upload of file hadcm3inct_cmo9_1920_160_05879870_1_13.zip 09.01.2008 08:45:32||Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 09.01.2008 08:45:32|climateprediction.net|[file_xfer] Temporarily failed upload of hadcm3inct_cmo9_1920_160_05879870_1_13.zip: http error 09.01.2008 08:45:32|climateprediction.net|Backing off 14 min 34 sec on upload of file hadcm3inct_cmo9_1920_160_05879870_1_13.zip 09.01.2008 08:45:34||Access to reference site succeeded - project servers may be temporarily down. Reboot or restarting boint won´t help. The problem persist using dial-up or normal cable connection. Upload starts perfect with about 50 KB/s, but only for some seconds. It always stops at about 5% or 0,25/4,97 MB. Can anybody give me some hint? |
