I noticed that I am having problems with this WU. I am on 2nd phase half way thru that one too. I too noticed that my time on that WU was increasing more than it ever has. I have complete many complete projects.
I am reluctant to abort this too. Blue world too.
2) Questions and Answers : Windows : Does Client Error WU\'s help at all? (Message 30958)

Have any of work units helped your (project)statistics at all. Upon looking at my own results, I have noticed that out of the 40 plus work units that I have worked on over the last few years, not one was completed fully successfully (all client errors). I do know that some wu’s did complete more than half on some of them before screwing up. I recall that the older large ones (2500 hours) had 160 years and now the smaller ones (550 hours) have 45 year cycles. With all these client errors, was any useful information obtained?

I know that this is an unusual question for the group. But of the 14 billion seconds (over 167 work days; total credit 58k) on my computers helped at all? I looked over other computers results and notice that they have not been that many successful completions at all. Thank you in advance.

Just want to get an ideal of others processing times for hadcm3 WU. Mine expects around 3200 hrs. Think one of my other computers maybe 4500 hrs or more (little slower).
What are other processing times to completion that other getting (for normal single/dual processor CPU\'s). Please don\'t give me any super or 16 way CPU\'s, I would hate to hear someone only has 100 hours to process 1 wu. Thanks in advance.

4) Questions and Answers : Wish list : Smaller Model Units (Message 25014)

Wish/Question. Do you have any smaller work units besides the 3000 hours needed. I have gotten almost half done (900 hours) one or two time then losing the unit. I know once its lost, can\'t be recover. Even a model with a 1000 hours is 41 days. I have three machines run and have tried maybe 20 models without getting one to the end. I would ready love to finish at least one, but 3000-4000 hours just seems too long.
thanks siifred

It didn\'t crash, it just got separated from the boinc monitor some how. I did not see any crash or errors codes. I was running einstein project at the same time (dual cpu), although I was having problems with einstein all over the place. When I re-booted by computer it just disappeared. Einstein and Rosetta are the projects that I keep losing because if the whole unit does not finish, it shows computation error and loses that unit. But I never had this program before. It appears to have all climateprediction folder and files intact.
I just hate to lost 800 hours, my other computer is half way too. That computer can only run one project at a time.
Thanks in advance. Fred

I have been running Climate for over 800 hours with four other projects. Restarted my computer and only the Sulpur project disappeared. I checked in the file explore and those files are still in the boinc/ projects / climateprediction.net folder. Can this project be re-attached? Many times I have had trouble with connection with localhost. But its not that this time. Thanks Fred. Sii.fred@verizon.net
