I have been seeing the same problems, but assumed that is was because I have not installed the MS .Net framework onto that machine (or had the incorrect version) I am still testing this theory. I have seen a few corrupted files on this Windows Me machine which are not BOINC or CPDN related, and am still trying to pin down the cause and what they affect, but will post with results. 4) Questions and Answers : Windows : BOINC GUI Diagnostic Error (Message 4201) Posted 16 Sep 2004 by old_user129 Post: This sounds like it could be a permissions issue like BOINC cannot create the output log-file because the permissions on the machine are preventing it from doing so. I have not got XP Home edition here, but have XP Pro. Do you have a number of user accounts on the machine? If so is the one you are loggin in as a restricted user? The confusion is that when I click on Help, About in the Windows GUI it shows as version 4.03 So which version is it? Is the website incorrect? DavidIr

Are these available for download from the cpdn website as 4.02 is newer than any version I can download from the Berkeley websites?
