When the ANZ models first arrived years ago, the servers were at a big new data center in Hobart, the capitol of Tasmania.
And the south east of Australia has been having severe weather with flooding, on and off all the year, including in Tasmania.
The rain radar currently shows rain in the Hobart area.

So server "flooding" could have two meanings. :(

Is there a way to re-download the tasks so I can start working on them again?

The way that BOINC works, is that a computer gets one chance at it.
If it fails, for any of many reasons, then it's allocated to the next computer waiting for work.

Andy has been upgrading the main site, to be the same as the dev site.
Those 2 apps have been around for a while now.

Make sure that you have LOTS of ram before trying any!!!

DON'T change anything.
We're just trying to figure out what is going wrong.

Another possibility, is that you're running Linux in a VM on a Windows machine.

I've found it best not to make life too complicated for a computer running climate models.

*********************

The beauty about Linux, is that you can create your own code.
Which is why all of the Linux OS's are different. Their writers had different goals.

I use Linux Mint, which has a desktop similar to Windows, which made the switch between them easier when I changed hundreds of years ago.
(Well, it seems that long. :) )

I think the problem may be the BOINC version.

For the BOINC site, it says that version is experimental.

So, where did you get that version version 7.16.6?

Peter has made two posts criticizing BOINC, and adding words at the end which are against forum rules.
So I've been deleting them.

Has latest post is similar, but saying that BOINC is nice, and without the unacceptable words.

The project has had a few problems over the years, and it may be because of that.
But that far back, the batches will have been closed and removed from the servers, so only the results will remain.

I think that I may have something similar, on an old computer that's no longer in use.
